ASYLUM, MIGRATION AND INTEGRATION FUND

Lab'Impact is the regional plan of activities implemented in Lombardy for the integration of third country nationals and financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF 2014-2020). The aim is to strengthen and consolidate a system of multi-level governance, through a partnership that has Lombardy Region as the lead partner and a network of players represented by 35 Territorial Areas, implementing the activities at local level and in turn leading the territorial networks. The implementation of the activities is accompanied by two other entities: Anci Lombardia and Fondazione ISMU:

The Plan is based on four macro-actions:

1. Qualification of the school system in multicultural contexts, also through actions to combat early school-leaving.

2. Promotion of access to the services for integration.

3. Qualified information services, through regional and territorial communication channels.

4. Promotion of the active participation of migrants in economic, social and cultural life, also through the development of associations.

Specific objectives

Facilitating access and use by third country nationals of the network of dedicated information desks and by networking them with existing ones, in order to be able to contact the person where he or she presents himself or herself
Qualifying the system of social supply units ensuring competence in the assessment of needs and effective and adequate responses.
Increasing the ability of social services to listen, read and systematize the demand of third country nationals through a qualified service of cultural linguistic mediation.
Supporting the school system for an adequate reception and inclusion of minors/teenagers and promoting integration through cultural linguistic mediation/qualified linguistic facilitation.
Facilitating communication between teachers, foreign pupils and families through cultural linguistic mediation paths.
Developing a greater sense of community bonding of citizens of foreign origin living in the territories
Developing meeting, socialization and aggregation opportunities for people in places of life: family, housing, neighborhood, town, parish, workplace, schools.
Strengthening public and private collaborative networks, both between public institutional bodies and with private social organizations and informal community networks.

The aim pursued is to facilitate and qualify the integration paths of foreign citizens through the organization of an integrated system of territorial services (work, integration, housing, health and education).

For this purpose, the Special Cooperative Company "Ovest Solidale" makes available to foreign citizens:

Counselling and mediation desks;

Cultural and ethno-clinical mediation paths.
